Q: What if I'm not available Oct. 8th & 9th and still want to audition/Can I audition virtually?
A: In the effort of seeing as many auditionees in person as possible, we encourage you to come to the theatre and audition in person. If you absolutely can not make that happen, please email email@example.com
to arrange another audition time/virtual audition time. All special requests must be emailed by Oct. 3rd
end of day (5:00pm PST).
Q: What is the youngest age a student can be to participate?
A: The youngest we typically accept is any age student going into 3rd grade or higher. We can accept 2nd graders with a letter of recommendation from an educator.
Q: What should I wear to auditions?
A: Wear anything appropriate that makes you feel good about yourself. Please be prepared to change into comfortable clothes to move in for the dance call.
Q: Do I have to stay the whole time for auditions?
A: You do not need to stay the whole time, we do ask that you arrive 20 minutes earlier than your time slot, to accommodate us possibly running ahead. After your audition you are free to leave, BUT we are calling back ALL auditionees for each respective dance call, so please arrive at least ten minutes before your scheduled dance call if you wish to be seen for that!
Q: Who gets paid?
A: This is a mixed professional production. Enlightened Theatrics' production of Seussical will feature a fully paid professional production team and two paid actors in the roles of Horton the Elephant (male identifying) and The Cat in the Hat (male/female/non-binary identifying). These roles will be decided along with the rest of the cast at auditions.
Q: I'm a student, can I be considered for the paid roles?
A: Only 18+ actors will be considered for the two paid roles.
